FACTORS INFLUENCING OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH HAZARDS AMONG THE MEDICAL RECORDS FROFESSIONALS

This research work was carried out to determine the factors influencing occupational health  hazards among medical records professionals, a study of university of Benin teaching hospital, Benin city. The statement of the problems was that medical records officers were  involved in documentation of patients records using various instruments in their respective units/ departments. The use of this instrument and coming in contact with patients that have communicable diseases could cause unspeakable pollution and many hazards were bound therein. The research aimed at finding out the awareness of health records officers about the associated professional hazards. Assessing the possible hazards linked with health records, identifying the factors responsible for these hazards.
