EVALUATION OF PRIMARY HEALTH CARE IN BAYELSA STATE ROOMS FOR IMPROVEMENT

Primary Health Care is the basic health care provision that deals with care at the early stage using simple implements and covering a vast majority of people both rural and urban area.  Thus this research is conducted to evaluate primary health care and ways for improvement in Baysela state in the three selected health centres in Sagbama Local Government Area.  A cross-sectional descriptive survey was employed using duster sampling technique 120 self administered questionnaires were distributed to health workers to gather information of which 105 were duly completed and returned.  This research revealed that 88.6% respondents from Sagbama, 88.6% from Tungbo and 94.3% from Adagbabiri respectively community agreed that the plethora of immunization programme have immensely contributed to the reducing of childhood diseases in the three selected communities.
