EVALUATION OF COMPUTERIZED HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN TERTIARY HEALTH INSTITUTION

The adoption of computerized health information management system is growing rapidly. Computerized health information management system enables the health institution to get the right and accurate information, ensures productivity of service, quality health information and enables health institution to perform their health services in an accountable manner. The management of  computerized health information management system has posed a problem, the issues of electrical power supply, poor internet connectivity, lack of ICT skills, financial issues forms the basic problem in the department which give rise to inaccurate health information. The specific objectives include:  to assess the knowledge of f computerized health information management system, evaluate the benefits of f computerized health information management system, find out the challenges confronting f computerized health information management system, to determine the extent to which challenges confronting f computerized health information management system can be eradicated in NAUTH.
