ENSURING PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY IN CLINICAL DATA MANAGEMENT

This research work is tagged “Ensuring Patients Confidentiality In Clinical Data Management; a modern way of improving the principle” [a study of Medical Records Department NAUTH NNEWI, Anambra State] Focuses mainly on the concept of patient confidentiality, the rights of patients, disclosure of patient information, consequences of breach of patient confidentiality, implications of new technology, roles and responsibilities of health professionals in the clinical settings towards ensuring patient confidentiality, clinical data management, threats to patients confidentiality, modern ways of ensuring and improving patients confidentiality in clinical data management. It has been observed that the incessant disclosure of patients health information by health professionals have being on the increasing rate. The research questions and hypothesis are aimed at realizing the objectives of the study.
